The coronavirus pandemic changed life at FAU entirely in the summer semester. Without the dedication and flexibility of teaching staff, employees and students, it simply would not have been possible for us to switch over to online teaching at such short notice. FAU President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger reflects on the past months and outlines plans for the coming winter semester, when several thousand new first year students are due to start at FAU.
