Knowledge market days
During the Long Night of Science, citizens from around the region come to the University. In its jubilee year, FAU wants to go where the people are! For one day each, FAU will expand the offerings of the marketplaces of Erlangen, Fürth and Nuremberg. At its own FAU market stall – in among the traditional market stalls – scientists will share their knowledge and research with visitors. Every FAU market stand will have an overarching theme such as food, love, machines or life. Researchers from different disciplines will come together at each stall.
Each market day is also accompanied by research presentations, competitions, and much more.

- Erlangen: 5 May 2018 at Marktplatz
- Fürth: 26 May 2018 at Bahnhofplatz
- Nürnberg: 9 June 2018 at Hauptmarkt (the main market)
