Four subjects from FAU have been included in this year’s QS subject ranking for the first time: Geology, Law, Psychology and Archeology. Overall, a total of 21 subjects from FAU are listed.

Liberal democracy and the rule of law are the foundations of a humane society – FAU emphatically endorses the statement of the German Rectors’ Conference (HRK). On February 3, a demonstration for democracy will be held at 4 pm at the Kornmarkt in Nuremberg.

In contrast to conventional mirrors, light can be reflected on surfaces known as meta surfaces without changing its polarization. This has now been proven by physicists at FAU and the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light (MPL).
