Lecture description - Finding your personal Career Vision
Lecture Title What to do after graduation? Finding your personal career vision in a VUCAWorld!
Description:
On the path to a fulfilling career, numerous hurdles must be overcome. Throughout their studies, many students find themselves asking similar questions: “What do I actually want to do in my professional career? Which specialization in my studies truly makes sense for my future working life?” As graduation approaches, these questions become increasingly urgent. How can we find work that we genuinely value? A job that we pursue not just for the money, but one that, in addition to providing security, also offers fulfillment, collegiality, and creativity. How can we achieve this in a world marked by uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity? How can we make decisions for our future lives now, when so much around us is constantly changing? This workshop allows participants to find individual answers to these questions. They will discover their own potential and talents and explore, within a safe environment, how, where, and with whom they can and want to best develop them.
Learning Objectives:
The students...
• learn how to sustainably realize their personal path to their dream job
• gain insights into the myths surrounding the concept of vocation and the necessary steps to achieve their own career vision
• recognize their own skills, competencies, and values, and confidently incorporate them into their career choices
• examine obstacles and barriers on the path to their dream job and find effective solution strategies
• identify companions, mentors, helpful networks, and the next steps on their journey to their personal dream career
Requirements:
• PC, laptop, or tablet with a stable internet connection, as well as video and audio capabilities.
• A safe learning environment is essential for the workshop, which includes the ability to see each other, just like in in-person events. Therefore, having your camera on is a requirement for this workshop.
Schedule and Methods:
The topic will be presented in an interactive lecture. During the lecture, participants will have numerous opportunities to actively engage by asking questions and sharing their own experiences. In guided, practical exercises, participants will be able to reflect on their personal experiences related to the lecture topic, gaining new insights for their future professional development. Afterward, all participants will receive detailed lecture documentation.
Date and Time: The lecture will take place on October 1st, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
