The Digital Tech Academy at FAU is offering a series of workshops to prepare students with a business idea for launching a start-up. The workshops are free of charge for all students at FAU, in EELISA and in the Existency network.
At the EELISA Next Level Pitch and Networking Event on Friday, 22 March 2024, 15 start-ups from seven different EELISA partner universities from six countries faced challenging questions from a jury of five investors.
Prof. Dr. Maria Rentetzi has been holding the new "Chair of Science, Technology and Gender Studies" at FAU since 2021. For her research, the physicist and historian focuses on the intersection of science and technology, the history of science, the history of diplomacy, political science and international relations.
This year, the Bavarian Digital Award is focusing on ‘digital participation’, and FAU entrepreneur Sagithjan Surendra has been nominated for his NGO Aelius Förderwerk, which provides digital assistance to disadvantaged young people.
A start-up trio at FAU have developed a new technology which can produce passive high-frequency components directly from computer models. Now the researchers will receive funding of 1.1 million euros from the EXIST programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy to develop the technology into a market-ready product.
