Known accessibility issues
Listing and explanation of the problems with the implementation of the accessibility of this website.
Content that is not accessible to people with disabilities
- PDF documents could not yet be converted to an accessible format.
- Some documents have been provided by third parties. These documents are not available in an accessible version.
- Embedded videos currently have no subtitles or transcription available.
- When using multilingual content on a page, sometimes the languages are not correctly marked in HTML.
- The color contrasts of the buttons for the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Engineering fall short of the minimum contrast ratios required by WCAG 2.1, Success Criterion 1.4.6 (AAA). As a result, readability for users with impaired vision is not fully guaranteed.
Reason
- The PDF documents relating to examination regulations included on the website are created by the Examination Office. To date, it has not been possible to provide these in an accessible format.
- Currently, the required contrast cannot be fully guaranteed, as the color scheme currently implemented by the respective faculties is bound by fixed corporate design specifications. An adjustment will be implemented in the course of the next design and development iteration.
Alternative access routes
- In the event of non-accessible examination regulations, please contact the Examination Office or the Disability Officer, Dr. Jürgen Gündel.
- If a video has been provided from the FAU video portal, please contact the RRZE Multimedia Center regarding a missing audio transcription.
