Breathing life into the FAU brand
The FAU brand invites you to become actively involved in shaping what it means for you – in research, teaching, administration and in the FAU community as a whole. It grows where people meet, share ideas, conduct research, provide advice and shape the future. Whether in a lecture, a team meeting, a stay abroad or a meeting with external partners: the brand is always present, always evolving. A brand is created through actions, through participation. Each contribution, whether it is at the level of research, administration or culture, shapes the University’s image both within the University and beyond. Bearing this in mind, the brand is an expression of tangible cultural reality – each and every day.
Chief Brand Officer (CBO) appointed by the Executive Board of the University
The appointment of a Chief Brand Officer (CBO) by the Executive Board of the University underscores the importance of the brand at FAU. This position strengthens the link between brand strategy and university management by providing a direct interface for strategic decisions and measures. As CBO, Silke Sauer works closely with relevant committees and departments and ensures the implementation of brand-related measures at the university management level.
FAU Brand Office
The FAU Brand Office, which is affiliated with the CBO, ensures that the university’s brand image meets the highest standards. It coordinates branding and marketing activities, advises departments, provides templates and guides, and supports the consistent implementation of corporate design, storytelling, visual language, and logos. In this way, it promotes the consistent application of brand guidelines and strengthens FAU’s identity.
