Support for applications for third-party funding
Have you found a suitable funding instrument but you require additional resources or information before you can submit the application?
FAU provides a range of services to support you in this process. Various contacts are available to help you both at the University Administration and in the faculties.
FAU contacts
University Administration can support you with applications for joint research projects (such as CRC or RTG) once your application has reached the advanced draft stage, by providing a budget for equipment or staff (for example, research associate positions for up to six months). Please contact the Office of Research Support for assistance in preparing your application.

The Office for Research Support provides informal financial support of up to 2500 euros for launching research initiatives. This funding is available for activities aimed at completing external funding applications, boosting visibility in the scientific community or preparing cooperation and transfer projects. Please send us the completed form “Antrag Anschubfinanzierung (F3)” (German) attached to an e-mail to zuv-forschung@fau.de.
