A festive feast without a guilty conscience

Now is high time to start planning what you are going to eat over the festive season. The traditional roast goose often comes from abroad and has only rarely been kept in conditions in keeping with animal welfare concerns. Some tips to bear in mind when shopping:

  • Plan your shopping well to avoid waste
  • Take care to purchase meat that has been raised locally and organically
  • When buying fish, look out for the environmental labels (e.g. MSC, ASC) and consult the WWF fish guide
  • A traditional roast or roulades – why not try a vegan alternative?
