FAU has once again performed excellently in The Centre for Higher Education’s (CHE) university ranking. Information systems ranked highest with seven top rankings: support from teaching staff, courses offered, introduction to academic working, resources at the library, IT infrastructure, support for new students, and doctoral degrees per professor.

Other subjects also performed well: In the category “Doctoral degree per professor”, business studies, business administration, and economics scored highly, business studies and business administration were among the top contenders in the category “Completion of degree program within a reasonable amount of time” and business studies and law did well in the “Support for new students” category. In addition, business administration performed well in the organization of studies category and law for resources at the library and exam preparation.

The CHE ranking

The CHE collects data for its university ranking once a year. One third of the subjects are re-evaluated each time. 120,000 students are interviewed and more than 300 universities are analyzed for the ranking. This year’s ranking focused on degree programs in business, economics and law. New this year: Digital learning was included in the ranking for the very first time.
