The Highly Cited Researchers List of 2023 names the 7,127 most influential researchers across the globe. With a total of 336 researchers included in the list, Germany is ranked number 4.

Four researchers from FAU are included in the list of the most highly cited researchers in their subject area. They are:

  • Prof. Dr. Robert Schober, Chair of Digital Communications
  • Prof. Dr. Christoph J. Brabec, Chair of Materials Science (Materials in Electronics and Energy Technology)

Their achievements are proven on the basis of multiple highly-cited papers that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and year in the Web of Science, a portal which brings together various citation and literature databases.
