Analyzing the behavior of emperor penguins

Johannes Bartl is a doctoral candidate of physics at FAU.  He is part of a team of researchers examining emperor penguins and their behavior with high-resolution cameras. Due to climate change their habitat is endangered: If the ice on the South Pole continues to melt the way it currently is the penguins will soon only be able to survive in zoos.
