Each semester, FAU President Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger visits professors in their institutes. He visits them there to talk about their research, to discover what is close to their heart and to get to know them better.

Anke Lindmeier (center) studied mathematics and Catholic religion for teaching at “Gymnasium” and later computer science. Today, she examines what makes a good math teacher and good math teaching. As a child, Sebastian Habig (right) wanted to be an actor. Now he stands on the stage in the lecture hall and teaches his students about learning chemistry.
