KoRaTo: Cooperative Synthesis of Apertures for Radar Tomography (DFG RTG 2680)
- Keywords: Cooperative radar networks, remote sensing, tomographic imaging, compressed sensing, data transfer, resource optimization
- Doctoral title: Dr.-Ing.
- Language of degree program: English
- Program duration: 3 years in the graduate program (with the option of extending, usually at one of the participating Chairs)
- How to apply: Application via IEEE Germany Young Professionals and FAU.
- Special features: In KoRaTo, a 3-year degree program comprising a total of 20 ECTS credits and teaching both subject-related skills and soft skills is created for each doctoral candidate and defined in the supervision agreement. The requested research training group is located at the interface between theoretical/mathematical key disciplines and application-oriented concepts. Engineers who possess skills in both these areas and are able to bring them together are currently highly sought after in research and industry. As such an interdisciplinary understanding of systems is often only gained to a limited extent, the aim of this research training group is to close this gap.
- Point of contact at FAU: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Martin Vossiek
