Private software use

The private use of the software by doctoral candidates is regulated as follows:

• Enrolled doctoral students may use the software privately in the same way as regularly enrolled students.
• Doctoral candidates with an FAU employment contract and external doctoral candidates may only use the software for private purposes if a work computer is available at the university and a work license for the corresponding product exists for this computer.

If there is a valid, fee-based RRZE software usage agreement for the desired product for the work computer at FAU, this should be confirmed by the contact person of the respective chair by email to software@fau.de. The fauXpas access will then be activated.
