FAU makes knowledge visible – in magazines, brochures and scientific publications. Our publications show the diversity of the people, topics and ideas that shape FAU with everything from insights into the university written in a journalistic style in the FAU Magazine and compact facts and figures to scientific publications from the FAU University Press.

FAU magazine

A university thrives because of the people who research, study, teach and work there. A university is supported by people who are connected to it as alumni, friends and sponsors and who are committed to promoting its interests all over the world.

They all contribute their unique talents, skills and perspectives. It is this diversity that makes our FAU a place of innovation and thus also a place where many talented individuals tackle the major challenges of our times together. And where they also find answers, time and time again.

FAU University Press

FAU has its own university press. FAU University Press offers scientists, scholars and young researchers at FAU an attractive, reasonable option for publishing their work.

All publications are published primarily in digital form on OPUS-FAU, the University’s publication and document server, and are available for access by other academics in accordance with the open access philosophy. If requested, parallel print editions can be published.

FAU University Press stands for:

• Reasonably charged publication, generally as print-on-demand.
• A comprehensive publishing service (ISBN, printing, submission of mandatory copies, registration in list of books in print and with Amazon, international distribution).
• Providing a local service catering to the needs of authors (formatting requirements, support with formatting, mentioning the services of VG Wort with respect to protecting authors’ interests, help and advice with acquiring funding etc.). Acting as an intermediary for arranging external services.
