Fees

As FAU is especially keen to support outstanding researchers, we are happy to cover 50 percent of the overall cost of the program. If you decide to take part in the program, you will therefore only need to pay a subsidized fee of 1,980 euros.

It is up to you whether to cover the costs using your departmental budget or third-party funding. If you are unable to secure funding through these or any other immediately available means, please contact the Dean of your faculty or your school/departmental speaker.

The program fee is due at the start of the program and covers the entire duration of the program, which is two years.

Costs for part-time employees

Part-time employees at FAU do not have to pay the full amount, the amount they have to pay is calculated according to the percentage of time they work.

Costs for ETI funding recipients

ETI funding recipients must apply for funding to participate in the FAUnext career program when applying for EIT funding. If they fail to do so, ETI will not fund their participation in FAUnext. It is unfortunately not possible for funds for participation in FAUnext to be applied for retroactively.

Funds for participating in FAUnext are checked and approved by the ETI selection committee at the same time as all the other funds the applicant has applied for.

ETI funding recipients who apply for funding for FAUnext when submitting their ETI application will receive 750 euros from the ETI program to be used for participating in FAUnext. The ETI funding recipients must pay this amount to FAUnext themselves. The remaining 1,230 euros is covered by ETI.

Participating in more modules

You are welcome to attend more than three modules, provided enough free places are available. Please note that fees of 200 euros per additional module will apply.

If you are interested in taking additional courses, please contact the FAUnext program coordinator.

Bank transfer details

You will receive the payment transfer details once you have registered for the program. Please make sure that you provide the correct and complete payment reference details when transferring your payment. You can also pay online at: http://www.epay.bayern.de.

Registration, withdrawal and cancellation

Please register for modules using the registration button on the website for each module or by sending an email directly to faunext@fau.de. The exact registration deadlines are listed on the website for each module and you will also be notified of them by email. When registering, please bear in mind that you will need to attend the entire module as the courses are prepared by the instructors based on the needs of the individual participants.

If you should change your mind, you may withdraw from the module up to one week before the module starts by writing an email (faunext@fau.de).

If you withdraw from a module at short notice (within one week of the first day of the module) or fail to attend a module, we will charge a fee of 200 euros. This charge will be invoiced separately.

If you cannot take part in a module due to illness, please let us know as soon as you can via email. You will not be charged a fee in this case.

Please note that withdrawing from a module is not the same as canceling your participation in the FAUnext program.

After completion of the program, you receive a certificate for the entire duration of your participation.

FAU Community portal

We use the FAU Community portal for encouraging networking and communication between participants and alumni of the program.
