Information about participation

All events organized by the Graduate Center are listed on the “Seminars and events” website. Information about registration and de-registration as well as participation fees can be found on this page.

Doctoral candidates

Please note that doctoral candidates must be registered in the docDaten doctoral database in order to participate in our seminars.

Registering for a seminar or event

You must register separately for each event via StudOn. Click the “Registration” link in the relevant event description to register in StudOn.

After registering, you will receive email confirmation and before the event begins another email giving details on how to transfer the fee (only for seminars for which a fee is charged). Please note that there is only a limited number of spaces in each workshop. If an event is fully booked, we are happy to include you in the waiting list and inform you as soon as a space becomes available.

Information events are free of charge and open to everyone.

Canceling your registration for an event

If you are unable to attend an event, please cancel your registration in StudOn.. You can cancel your registration for events that are subject to a fee free of charge up to 10 days before the start of the event. Fees for seminars or events after this time will only be reimbursed if your space can be reallocated or if you submit a doctor’s certificate confirming inability to work (Arbeitsunfähigkeitsbescheinigung).

Seminar fees

Details of the fees (own contribution) for seminars run by the Graduate Center are given below. The fee depends on the duration of the event.

  • Standard fee: 50 euros
  • Reduced fee (for employees with a 75% position): 40 euros
  • Reduced fee (for employees with a 50% position/scholarship holders/minimum fee): 25 euros

  • Standard fee: 80 euros
  • Reduced fee (for employees with a 75% position): 60 euros
  • Reduced fee (Reduced fee for employees with a 50% position/scholarship holders/minimum fee): 40 euros

  • Standard fee: 100 euros
  • Reduced fee (for employees with a 75% position): 75 euros
  • Reduced fee (for employees with a 50% position/scholarship holders/minimum fee): 50 euros

Certificate of participation

After attending a workshop, you will receive a certificate of attendance and confirmation that the seminar fee has been received.
