Central welcome week for international students
International Affairs offers welcome weeks for international students at the beginning of the semester in order to provide assistance with legal formalities in Germany and with settling in at FAU. The program is open to all international students. If you have any questions on the program, please contact: mobility@fau.de
The welcome weeks are held twice a semester:
Winter semester 2025/26
September 4: Welcome day for students taking part in the preparatory language course (FIT course). Guided tours of the town the next day.
October 6 to 10: Welcome week for all international students
November 17: Late Arrival Day
Summer semester 2025
March 4 to 11: Welcome week for students taking part in the preparatory language course (FIT course).
April 7 to 14: Welcome week for all international students

Offers specific to faculties and departments
The faculties, schools and departments at FAU also offer their own welcome events. If your specific area is not offering a program in the current semester, you can join events from another department or another faculty at the same location.
