A new life, new friends and a new city. To make sure new students quickly feel at home at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), there are not only a number of introductory events, but also an official welcome from FAU President, Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger, his colleagues from the Executive Board, and representatives from the cities of Erlangen, Nuremberg, and Fürth.

FAU welcomes its new students every year with a new students’ welcome event. You can look forward to an official welcome from our President and the entire Executive Board, a cool DJ set, and the FAU backpacks*, which are new for 2025. That apart, everyone you need to know to help you get off to a good start studying at FAU is on hand to answer any questions you may have.

New students’ welcome event at the School of Business, Economics and Society
Are you a student at WiSO? If so, you are also invited to attend the new students’ welcome event for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students at WiSo in Nuremberg.
