Collections and museums

Instruments, models, organisms, minerals – FAU’s university collections cover a wide spectrum. Some collections are as old as the University itself, such as the anatomy collection, others represent more modern areas of research, such as the computer science collection. One thing they all have in common is that they bear witness to the history of science and continue to play a role in university teaching today.

Public accessibility of collections

Not all of FAU’s collections are open to the public. Free guided tours are mostly offered upon request or as part of larger events.
