Culinary specialties and impressive visual effects await guests at the Schlossgartenfest.

Less than a month to go until FAU’s Schlossgartenfest: After a two-year break because of the coronavirus pandemic, FAU’s Schlossgartenfest will be taking place on Saturday, June 25, 2022 with live music, delicious food and an impressive laser show. The final tickets for the public are now on sale.

A new highlight is the laser show, which is taking place for the first time this year and is replacing the usual firework display. Margravess Wilhelmine von Bayreuth, regarded as one of the founders of the University, will be wandering around as a model guest in the Schlossgarten and will be available for photographs. Light installations designed by the students of Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Arts will provide a very special ambience to the event.  Live music including everything from salsa and jazz to dance music will be playing on several stages. Various restaurateurs from around the region will cater for guests with their culinary specialties. These will include Franconian dishes, Indian cuisine, burgers, and Currywurst, which means there will be something for everyone. Desert will include specialty coffee and ice cream as well as cupcakes and waffles. Refreshing drinks will be available from several bars at the event, including FAU’s own Aromatix gin with herbs from the University’s Scented Garden.

Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger, FAU President: “We are very pleased that we are able to come together again this year on this special evening. The Schlossgartenfest is a very special event for us as a University.”

Tickets are available online. For further information about the event and a detailed program visit www.schlossgartenfest.de.
