Since you are not required to take the “Career options” basic module, you can use the 3 ECTS credits to complete another module from the free electives.

What is the degree program about?

As a profile-building subject in secondary education (Mittelschule), “Working life and the economy” is of great importance in Bavaria. With the fields of study of the economy, work, professional life and technology, it covers a wide range of topics and is significant as regards the development of school pupils in their roles as citizens, consumers and members of the workforce.

As part of the degree program about working life and the economy, students gain both a solid foundation in teaching skills as well as subject knowledge in order to be able to teach the subject successfully later on. Successful graduates also have the opportunity to gain further academic qualifications, for example in the context of a doctorate.
