All information on research is stored centrally in the CRIS research information system at FAU. This includes publications and research projects, as well as data on inventions, prizes and awards and details of other activities, such as memberships in committees and academies, organization of conferences, review activities and much more besides.
CRIS also includes templates for project proposals, available to all research and technical staff.
Data from CRIS are used for a number of procedures at FAU, and are naturally also available for use by researchers, professors and departments. For example, data is delivered to more than 1,000 websites. CRIS offers a wide range of reporting functions that are used at all levels at FAU.
CRIS research portal
The research portal provides information for interested members of the public, currently on more than 146,000 publications and over 5,200 research projects.
The CRIS research information system is continually being expanded and improved in order to keep up with new or changed requirements, for instance integration with research data management, internal applications or open source plugins for publishing data on WordPress pages.
