Each semester, FAU president Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger visits professors who have just recently joined FAU. At their respective institutes, he gets to know them better as they talk about their research and share what is important to them.

This series brings a brief introduction of the researcher and allows a peek into such visit by the president.

In episode 6, it is Prof. Dr. Roland Nagy who is visited by the president. He holds the professorship at FAU’s Institute of Applied Quantum Technologies.

Roland Nagy works in the research field of applied quantum technologies.

He is especially focused on the implementation and execution of new technologies.

Before joining FAU, Nagy was working at Carl-Zeiss AG.

When still a child, Roland Nagy dreamt of becoming a boxer or electrician.
