The FAU Graduate Center offers a range of interdisciplinary information events and core skills workshops. Our seminars, workshops and events are open to all doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers at FAU.
Our seminar program is designed to develop skills for the successful completion of your doctoral degree as well as skills for your academic career and the job market, in order to improve your career opportunities in or outside academia.

- FAU Office of Equality and Diversity: professional development programmes, coaching, ARIADNE mentoring programme
- FAU Language Centre: language courses
- FAU Writing Centre: individual writing consultations and writing courses
- FAU Press and Communication: Workshops and advice on science communication
- FAU ZIWIS: Interdisciplinary and science-reflective projects in research and teaching
- Competence Center Teaching: further training for lecturers
- FAU – Digital Tech Academy: start-up consulting and entrepreneurship
- Institute of Liberal Professions, Nuremberg: research, advice for start-ups, coaching
- German Association of University Professors and Lecturers (Deutscher Hochschulverband): seminars aimed at the special requirements of researchers and academics
- German University Association of Advanced Graduate Training (UniWiND/GUAT): FAU is a member of the German University Association of Advanced Graduate Training (UniWiND/GUAT), which offers doctoral candidates and postdoctoral researchers the option of attending a wide range of events at reduced rates for members.
- DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service): seminars with a focus on internationalisation
