Further Information

Who can be elected?

This year, students at FAU will vote for their representatives in the Faculty Councils and in the Student Council. With their vote, they will also decide who will represent them in the Student Committees and in the Appointments Council for the School of Theology. The election for the doctoral candidates’ representatives will take place at the same time as the other university elections, with doctoral candidates from each faculty voting on who should represent them. The elected members form the Doctoral Candidates’ Council.

The approved nominations for the university elections and the elections for the doctoral candidates’ representatives have already been announced and are available on the Elections Office’s website.

Voting has never been easier!

All students and doctoral candidates entered in the electoral register at the time the electoral register was closed on May 19 are eligible to vote. Polling cards can be accessed in the FAU elections portal or have already been sent by post.

Votes are cast via the FAU election portal after registering with your FAU IdM login. The election portal guides you step by step through the process for casting your vote electronically. All the information and the election system itself are available in German and English.

How do I decide who to vote for?

The websites of the FAU Elections Office, the Students’ Representatives and the Doctoral Candidate’s Council give useful information about the candidates and groups as well as the members and tasks of the committees for which representatives are to be elected.
