Organization – Transformation – Society (OTG)
The future Master’s degree program for working professionals Organization – Transformation – Society explores organizational development (OD) as intertwined with societal transformation, focusing on questions of justice, diversity, and inclusion. It stands out for its reflective professionalization, grounded in social science, and focuses on OD as both a professional mindset and practice
Earth System Dynamics and Evolution
The English-language Master’s degree program Earth System Dynamics and Evolution at FAU provides an interdisciplinary understanding of Earth systems and their evolution across different timescales. The focus lies on data analysis, modeling, and the societal and political dimensions of science.
Data Science of Human Multimodal Communication (MULTICOM)
MULTICOM is the first English-language Master’s degree program in the field of data science for human multimodal communication. The program centers on the connection between language, cognition, and the various modalities of communication behavior: Gestures, gaze, facial expressions, posture, speech articulation, prosody, and more. Modules are held at the University of Murcia, Spain; Lund University, Sweden; and FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg.
Computational Molecular and Materials Science (CMMS)
The Master’s degree program Computational Molecular and Materials Science combines molecular and materials sciences with cutting-edge modeling, simulation, and data science methods. The goal is to take a targeted approach to designing new molecules and materials on computers, for energy technologies, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and nanotechnology.

The certificate program Gender 1 2 3 offers an academic education that links gender studies with contemporary technological discourses. The focus is on the critical deconstruction of complex categories of difference and their translation into professional action strategies.
