FAU scores in current CHE ranking

Students at the School of Business, Economics and Society at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) are satisfied with their current study conditions. That is the conclusion reached by the latest CHE university ranking 2026/27.

Top marks for Information Systems

Information Systems received excellent reviews, ranging from the overall study situation to supervision from lecturers, from study organization to courses offered, from support during studies to digital teaching elements, library resources and facilities. It also did well in the “fact-based” indicators: support during the study entry phase, strength in research, and number of doctoral degrees per professor.

Prof. Dr. Sven Laumer, Schöller Endowed Chair of Information Systems (Digitalization in Business and Society), says: “I am very pleased that Information Systems received such excellent results in the CHE ranking. For many years, we have focused on giving students the skills they need to actively shape the digital transformation of economy and society. It is good to hear that our students appreciate our efforts so highly.”

FAU also received a very positive assessment from law students. They are particularly happy with study organization, courses on offer, and library resources. In the fact-based indicators, law did particularly well with respect to support during the study entry phase and in preparation for examinations.

The degree programs in Business Administration and Economics both received very good reviews for study conditions. In both subjects, international orientation was positively evaluated, and students of Business Administration appreciated the possibility to complete the degree program in a reasonable amount of time.

A total of 35,000 students from 265 universities and universities of applied sciences evaluated their study conditions. The complete results are available in the Zeit study guide and online via HeyStudium (German only).
