Elite Network of Bavaria

The Elite Network of Bavaria (ENB) funded by the Free State of Bavaria combines scholarships for particularly gifted students and doctoral candidates with funding for elite degree programmes and international doctorate programmes.

Elite degree programmes

All over Bavaria, elite degree programmes qualify particularly gifted and committed students for cutting-edge research or careers in management positions.

FAU is involved in the following elite degree programmes:

• Advanced Materials and Processes (FAU is the co-ordinating university)
• Advanced Optical Technologies (FAU is the co-ordinating university)
• Advanced Signal Processing and Communications Engineering
• Bavarian Graduate School of Computational Engineering
• Ethics of Textual Cultures (German)
• Fast-Track Doctoral Degree Programme in immunology for applicants with a Bachelor’s degree
• Cultural Studies of the Middle East
• Physics with Integrated Doctorate Programme (FAU is the co-ordinating university)
• Standards of Decision-Making Across Cultures
• Integrated Immunology
