The twelve member universities of Universität Bayern e.V have agreed on a directive for the implementation of the Second Bavarian Regulation on Infection Prevention and Control Measures at the Bavarian universities. FAU adopted the hygiene guidelines in this directive on 5 May 2020.

Bearing this in mind, FAU students have launched the initiative ‘3D-Druck gegen Coronavirus’ (3D printing against the coronavirus) in order to help doctors’ surgeries and care homes by supplying them with the materials they need.

A research team at FAU has now shown in a study that drugs used to treat autoimmune diseases inhibit Covid-19 infections before the coronavirus can spread in the body.
