German citizenship, university entrance qualification gained abroad
Individuals with German citizenship who obtained their university entrance qualification abroad and who would like to enroll in a degree program without admission restrictions without having had their qualifications officially recognized should follow the normal path of registering in the application portal campo, uploading a certified copy and translation of their certificates and selecting the required degree program. After you have submitted your application, your university entrance qualification will be checked and if it meets the requirements, we will activate the next step of the online enrollment process for you. You will be informed about this via email and can continue with the online enrollment process by clicking on “Apply for enrollment”.
Please note that we are able to check university entrance qualifications fairly quickly between when the portal is activated and late June, but waiting periods are much longer between early July and the end of September.
All applicants with foreign qualifications must prove their proficiency in German. If you need to pass the DSH examination, you can obtain the relevant application form from the Admissions Office.
