FAU has a new main address – Consultations will remain at Halbmondstrasse

The University has moved – what’s happening with the post for the Student Advice Center and other services?

The University’s headquarters have relocated. However, the Student Advice Center, Admissions Office, Student Records Office and the Examinations Office will remain available in Halbmondstrasse for personal consultations.

Relocation of University headquarters: What you need to know

The headquarters of Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg have moved to FAU Campus Erlangen (South). The new official address is Freyeslebenstrasse 1, 91058 Erlangen. This is also where the FAU’s mail room is now located and all letters are sent there for distribution. Accordingly, the postal address of all advice and service centers is now Freyeslebenstrasse.

Consultations will be provided at old address

The information desk for the Student Advice Center will stay at Halbmondstrasse in Erlangen next to the Schloss. Students can still get advice at this address. Freyeslebenstrasse 1 serves only as the postal address for the Student Advice Center.

University mailbox

The mailbox at the Schloss has been removed! You can either drop off your letters in the Student Advice Center and Student Records Office building next to the Schloss, or hand them over in person to the relevant advisor (if known). Alternatively, you can send them via post to the relevant service at Freyeslebenstrasse or drop them off there and they will be forwarded for you.

The Student Advice Center is often the first port of call at FAU for prospective and current students who have any questions about studying. It provides confidential, neutral and unbiased advice and can also give you the details of relevant points of contact.
