Do you fancy gardening but don’t have a garden of your own? FAU has not one but two community gardens, and both would welcome new group members!
FAU WiSo Oasis in Nuremberg: A garden of the future
The FAU WiSo Oasis is located on the car park at Lange Gasse. Many volunteers came together to make an unused and unsightly piece of land greener, more sustainable and more attractive. In 2024, the community garden was even awarded the environmental prize from the City of Nuremberg!
A garden for everyone at the Faculty of Engineering in Erlangen
The garden at the Roter Platz at the Faculty of Engineering brings together students, doctoral candidates and staff at FAU Campus Erlangen (South) who all share an enthusiasm for gardening. Raised beds offer place for fruit and vegetables in raised beds and make the Roter Platz more attractive. The project even has its own Instagram page: techfak_garden.
