Election turnout in the committees

The Senate

The turnout for the group of representatives of the full-time university lecturers was exactly 59.49 percent and 25.88 percent for the group of representatives of non-academic staff. Both figures were higher than the turnout last year. The election turnout of research staff and doctoral candidates in the Senate remained almost constant with that of previous years at 23.56 percent.

The Student Council

This year, 3,176 students voted in the election for the Student Council. This means the election turnout was 8.69 percent.

The Faculty Councils

Traditionally, the highest turnout for the election of representatives for the Faculty Council is in the group of representatives of the full-time university lecturers. The leader again this year is the Faculty of Engineering with an election turnout of 75.42 percent. The turnout for research staff and doctoral candidates was lower. The turnout for four of the five faculties was between 29 and 39 percent, and in the Faculty of Medicine, only 13.49 percent of research staff voted in the elections. The situation is similar for non-academic staff: Here, the turnout was between 23 and 41 percent in three of the five faculties and only 12.42 for the Faculty of Medicine. No election for this group took place at the Faculty of Sciences this year due to a lack of nominations.

This year again, the Faculty of Medicine had the highest turnout of students voting in the election with over 17 percent. The turnout was lower for the other faculties: Between 6.06 and 9.30 percent of students there took part in the election.

Doctoral Candidates’ Council

As was the cast last year, the election turnout among doctoral candidates was lowest at the Faculty of Medicine at 6.94 percent and highest at the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law at 20.04 percent.
