Collections and museums

Collections to treasure

The university collections at FAU cover a wide range of areas – from instruments and models to organisms and minerals. Some of the collections, such as the Anatomical Collection, are as old as the University itself, while others, like the Computer Science Collection, represent newer areas of research. Whether new or old, they provide key evidence of the history of academia and still play an important role in teaching at the University today.

Not all of FAU’s collections are open to the public. Free guided tours are mostly offered upon request or as part of larger events. An overview of the collections is available in the menu on the left.

Collections brochure

You can also view the information about FAU’s collections in the brochure which is available to download in pdf format (German).
