A Bachelor’s degree is an academic degree program that is the first degree that can be gained at university level. It usually lasts six semesters. During their Bachelor’s degree program, students complete a range of compulsory and compulsory elective modules that are tailored to their chosen subject. These modules can include lectures, seminars, practical exercises and lab work, for example. A Bachelor’s degree is usually completed by writing a Bachelor’s thesis, after which students are awarded their Bachelor’s degree.
Possible combinations for 2-subject Bachelor’s degree programs
The 2-subject Bachelor’s degree program at the Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology combines a selection of 29 different subjects that cannot, however, be freely combined with each other. Please read the following information carefully:
Overview of combinable subjects
Overview of combinable subjects (PDF)
If you would like to study one of the subject combinations marked in blue in the overview, you must consult a study advisor before enrolling.
After this consultation, you will receive the “Beiblatt zur Einschreibung im Zwei-Fach-Bachelor für bestimmte Fächerkombinationen” (Form for enrollment for two subject Bachelor’s degree programs with certain subject combinations). This form must be submitted for enrollment.
Advice on “blue” subject combinations
The Student Advice Service and the Student Service Center (SSC) offer weekly virtual consultation sessions that you can join for these combinations of subjects.
Please ensure you have access to your degree program and examination regulations and the degree program structure during the consultation session.
Current students who would like to change subject should contact the SSC or the Student Advice Service via e-mail or phone. Part-time students do not require a consultation.
