#FAUinsights: Technologies for a mobile world
Lecture series from Wednesday, May 21 at Energie Campus Nürnberg
The way in which we travel in the future will be fundamentally different from what it is today. On seven evenings starting from Wednesday, May 21, 2025, experts from science and business will explore the topic during the #FAUinsights lecture series and will illustrate extremely diverse aspects such as how is mobility in the urban environment developing? How safe is autonomous driving? What are the limits of e-mobility? Which technologies will shape mobility in the future? #FAUinsights is held by Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) in conjunction with Energie-Campus Nürnberg (EnCN).
The lecture series kicks off on Wednesday, May 21 with the current revolution in automobile manufacturing. After the official welcome by FAU president Prof. Dr. Joachim Hornegger, Prof. Dr. Jörg Franke ventures to take an initial look into the future. Prof. Franke is Chair of Factory Automation and Production Systems and will show the completely new possibilities offered by electric motors for vehicle architectures and for individualization.
Audiences can expect an extremely wide range of topics during the other dates in the lecture series, ranging from mobility in the urban environment and environmentally-friendly air travel to quantum computing and train delays. The lectures provide insights into the latest research, technological advances and political frameworks to interested members of the public, students and representatives from business and politics.
The lecture series will take place at Energie Campus Nürnberg, “Auf AEG”, Fürther Strasse 250, Nuremberg from 5.30 pm to 7 pm.
