FAU alumni benefit from a number of advantages. The FAU alumni network is free of charge and offers a number of opportunities for staying in touch with the University and with each other. Alumni can opt in to receive the alumni newsletter and the FAU magazine. That apart, a wide range of events provide ample scope for dialog, networking and inspiration. Alumni are supported in making valuable connections, furthering their professional development, and becoming actively involved in the FAU community.

The interdisciplinary Alumni Network is at the heart of our large FAU Community. It is a place for former students from across the globe to together and network with each other.

What does alumni mean?

Latin: “pupil,” from alere, “to nourish,” “to raise”

Originally, alumni were the pupils of an institute. In higher education, the “Alma Mater” was the “nurturing mother”. Alumni are thus people who have graduated from a university.
